This is a partial list of some of my favorite stuff - music, books, people to listen to and places to shop.  Remember, I LOVE jokes (clean ones) so if you find one you like, email it to me.  Some of this stuff is a bit trendy but remember, I have TEENAGERS - that says it all - I have a really eclectic taste now due to the teens and pre-teens living in my house.

1.  Elisabeth Elliot ANYTHING.  Read her books, get her tapes, her husband Lars is really great about sending stuff quickly.  Her website address is:

http://www.elisabethelliot.org/index.html  This will get you to her homepage but you can click on the tape/books page and there is an order form.

2.  Another favorite of mine is the book by Kay Arthur...here is a link to look at it on Amazon.com  This is a great book if you are on a Joy-Ride...(count-it-all-joy-ride).

3.  Another FAVORITE of mine is ANYTHING by Stormie OMartian.  I regularly use her book, The Power of a Praying Wife  to pray for my husband.  Just praying from that book will improve your marriage - I PROMISE.  Here are several of her books that I love that you can look at on Amazon:

The book called The Prayer That Changes Everything is so helpful on the days you need a "vacation from the Joy-Ride" because you can praise the Lord for so many different things using that book!  The book called Greater Health God's Way was my introduction to fasting.  Fasting regularly has helped me to feel better and was the start of my personal process to becoming FREE of my food-idols.   Someday I would love to meet Stormie in person.  Perhaps in heaven we will have lunch together. <iframe src="

4.  I HIGHLY recommend any Bible Study by Beth Moore.  I have done several and my spiritual growth has been straight up while doing any of them.  I am going to put on links to the CD's that you can listen to and fill in the end of chapter sections in the Bible study.  I do think it is better taking one of these in a group setting because it gives you some peer-momentum and fellowship.  But I also believe that sometimes God wants to take you off someplace alone with Him and He will lap up any sacrifice of time and effort you are willing to give.  Here a few of my favorites:

5.  Favorite Music of mine...oh how I wish I could play some of this stuff for you!  I love Ginny Owen's (old stuff), I love Fernando Ortega, I love Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Nicole Mullens, Nichole Nordman, Jaden Lavik and Chris Rice.  Eclectic, hu?  Here are some of my favorite CDs:

6.  Homeschool stuff:  I just discovered Beautiful Feet Literary approaches to different subjects.  Here are the guides and some books you would want to use.  These are great for BOYS who need to touch, feel, imagine it to really learn it...buy the timelines, the maps and do the activities.  This is definitely worth the effort!

7.  Great Fiction, fun reading:  www.LizCurtisHiggs.com  Some of her books include the following:you for your interest!
